In a candid video posted to her Instagram Story, the award-winning singer recounted a touching moment with her son, Jamil Balogun, following a disciplinary episode. Savage revealed that after she scolded him for misbehaving, she expected him to be upset. Instead, he quietly came to sit beside her on the couch, seeking comfort — a moment that deeply moved her.
“Last night, I was reminded of one of the hardest things about being a mom: you still have to discipline your child and be strict, even when it breaks your heart,” she said. “I’m a very, very strict mother. Everyone knows this.”
Savage explained that she had fallen asleep on the couch after the incident and woke up to find Jamil lying beside her. Despite the earlier tension, the young boy had come to be close to his mother, reaffirming their strong emotional bond.
