The Iya Oloja General of Lagos, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo has denied the news that she had imposed a levy of N1000 on all the shop powers in the popular Computer Village.
She said this today through the Market's Board who also visited the market. This was in response to the news last week that she had instructed traders to pay that sum every month, which the traders were opposing.
The board members said if such directives would be given, there would be a written document to that effect. They asked the traders complaining to produce the circular if there is any. They concluded that there will be a stakeholder meeting with the shop owners soon where all issues pertaining to the market would be discussed.
Folashade Tinubu is the head of all markets in Lagos and the daughter of ace politician and former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu who installed her as the Iya Oloja to succeed his own mother, Abibatu Mogaji who held that title until her death in 2013.
