LAWYERS IN ENERGY NETWORK TO HOLD ANNUAL RETREAT IN LAGOS

The Lawyers in Energy Network will host its annual retreat in Lagos on Thursday and Friday. Themed “Analysing the Effects of the Presidential Policy Directives on the Nigerian Energy Industry,” the event will focus on the impact of key policies on the sector.
Executive Secretary of the Network, Raqeebah Oloko, noted that the retreat would examine the three policy directives signed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on February 28, which were designed to guide contract, fiscal, and local content practices in the Nigerian energy industry.
“Six months later, these directives have had both positive and negative effects on the industry. This retreat will focus on extensively analysing the impacts and proposing a way forward,” she said.
Key speakers include Mofesomo Tayo-Oyetibo (SAN); Ademola Fashiku of Seplat Energy; Oluwadare Agbelese, Group Head of Legal and Supply Chain Management at Waltersmith; Dr. David Editang, Executive Director of Dasoniel Energy Services; Energy Consultant Dr. Wisdom Enang; Ijeoma Idika, General Counsel of Falcon Corporation; Sesan Suleiman, Partner at Templars; and Folashade Oluyadi, Partner at Olaniwun Ajayi LP.
