MTN NIGERIA UNVEILS 5G-POWERED DIGITAL EXPERIENCE CENTER IN ABUJA

South African telecommunications giant, MTN Nigeria, has launched its first Fifth Generation (5G) powered Digital Experience Center at its Zonal Office in Maitama, Abuja. The unveiling event marks a significant milestone in the country’s digital transformation journey, with more centers planned to open across Nigeria to offer citizens the opportunity to explore the potentials of digital services powered by 5G technology.
The event was attended by high-profile stakeholders, including representatives of the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, and the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida.
Speaking on the occasion, MTN’s Chief Customer Relations Officer, Ugonwa Nwoye, and Chief Information Officer, Soyinka Sodunke, emphasized that the new Digital Experience Center is set to revolutionize Nigeria’s digital landscape. They highlighted how the center will unlock economic opportunities, enhance business potentials, and empower individuals through advanced 5G technology.
Nwoye, addressing reporters, disclosed that 15 Digital Experience Centers have already been established across the country, with plans underway to extend these services to more states. She explained that the center would offer innovative experiences in various sectors, including gaming, smart city development, smart warehouses for industries, and smart eateries, all powered by 5G.
MTN’s initiative aims to position Nigeria at the forefront of the digital revolution, fostering creativity and economic growth while providing a platform for self-development and technological advancement.
