SENATOR NWAOBOSHI ABANDONS PDP FOR APC, RECEIVED BY BUHARI

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, representing Delta North, Delta State has abandoned the Peoples Democratic Party for the ruling All Progressives Congress following his suspension from PDP.
The Senator, on Friday was received by the President, Muhammadu Buhari at the First Lady's Conference Room, presidential villa, Abuja, as presented by the Chairman of the APC Caretaker Committee and governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni.
Nwaoboshi defection was disclosed via the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu in a statement, named, ‘President Buhari congratulates Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi for decamping to APC’.
The content of the statement read, ‘President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday in Abuja welcomed Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi to the All Progressives Congress, after he left the Peoples Democratic Party, saying ‘you are welcome to the progressives family.’
“Sen. Nwaoboshi, representing Delta North District, Delta State, was presented to President Buhari and National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee at the State House by Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege.
“The Deputy Senate President said Senator Nwaoboshi’s decision to join the APC clearly shows that the effort of the CECPC was yielding fruit. The Senator was warmly welcomed by party members.”
