Afrobeat singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has called out Nollywood filmmakers for their lack of attention to detail in movie production.

In a video shared on his Instagram story, Rudeboy highlighted a glaring mistake in a Nollywood film where a sound technician holding a microphone was visibly present in the scene but was not edited out.

Expressing his disappointment, the singer questioned how such an obvious error could have made it past editing and into the final cut of the movie.

“So una shoot video finish, edit am, even microphone man put inside the video. Please, just watch. Please, tell me, who’s this person? Hahaha,” he said in the background while watching the clip.

This is not the first time Nollywood has come under criticism for production blunders. Many industry professionals and celebrities have previously raised concerns over poor editing, low audio quality, and other technical lapses in Nigerian films.

Rudeboy’s remarks have sparked reactions from fans and filmmakers, with some agreeing that the industry needs to improve its production standards, while others defended the challenges Nollywood faces in terms of budget and resources.
