OSUN STATE POLICE ARREST MAN FOR ALLEGEDLY BEHEADING FATHER ON FARM

Osogbo, Osun State– The Osun State Police Command has detained a man, identified only as Saudi, for allegedly beheading his father in a shocking incident that has stunned the community of Ilusi village.
The deceased, known as Baale, was reported missing on Thursday after he left home for his farm. Concerned villagers organized a search party, and the following day, Friday, they found Baale's headless body hidden under palm leaves on the farm.
Ismail Olaolu, a resident of the village, shared details with *Vanguard*, explaining that suspicion quickly fell on Baale's son, Saudi, who had accompanied him to the farm that day. “The search team, mainly youths from the village, suspected the deceased’s son. After some questioning and, reportedly, torture, he confessed to killing his father,” Olaolu stated. The deceased’s motorcycle and his harvested cocoa were also found at the crime scene.
Osun Police spokesperson Yemisi Opalola confirmed the arrest and stated that the suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
