Super Eagles duo Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi played key roles in Fulham’s 2-0 home win over Tottenham Hotspur, boosting the club’s chances of securing a European spot next season.
Iwobi, who has seven goals and four assists this season, made his 29th league appearance before being substituted in the 63rd minute for Adama Traoré. Meanwhile, Bassey played the full 90 minutes, marking his 28th EPL game of the season with one goal to his name.
In Italy, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru suffered a fresh ankle injury in his comeback game for Lazio. The midfielder, who has played 16 league games with three goals, now faces another spell on the sidelines. Lazio struggled in his absence, losing 5-0 to Bologna in Serie A.
