IS THERE A CHRISTIAN GEN0CIDE IN NIGERIA - BY PASTOR TINA

This topic is currently making rounds on the social media space. It is a very sensitive subject and we must allow our sense of judgement to over rule our emotions.
I have been affected by the k!kings in my home town of Mangu LGA of Plateau State.
The woman whose face is covered is my mother’s younger sister( I covered her face because I didn’t ask her or her kids for permission before using the picture).
Sometime in 2023 around June their village Aloghom in Mangu LGA was attacked by fulani herdsmen. Her immediate younger sister who came to visit her was k!lled in the attack. She narrowly survived.
According to how she narrated the story. They were informed about the ravaging of the surrounding villages by the fulani’s but they didn’t take the news seriously. In her words ; they had lived with the fulani’s for long and she didn’t believe they could pose a danger to them. Unfortunately she was wrong.
In the middle of the night while they were sleeping these herdsmen descended on their houses and barns and set them on fire. They slit their throat from ear to ear. Her sister, my other aunt, was not lucky she d!ed on the spot. My aunt who survived( that is the one in the picture) knew the people that did this to them. While they were hitting her , she mentioned their names and asked why they were doing this to them. She knew them. But they slit her throat nonetheless. Everybody fled the village and left the dead. She was unconscious for days.
The day they were to bury them in a mass grave . They realized she was still breathing and they rushed her to the hospital where she underwent surgery. Her last son who hid in the cushion also survived with some minor burns.
Early this year, one of my paternal cousins who lived in kerang, Mangu LGA was told that fulani herdsmen were in his potato farm and their cattle were eating his crops. He ran to the farm to confront them and they shot at him twice. He was also lucky the bullet narrowly missed his spine . He was admitted at the Jos University Teaching hospital and spent some months but thankfully he is still recovering.
I have lost two members of my family to these attack and many are still displaced . They cannot go back to their villages and farmlands because it has been occupied by these herdsmen. I have gory pictures that are not suitable for social media of the damage caused by these herdsmen.
I took my time to narrate these stories in order to make a point. The incidents that happened to my family are similar to the ones all over communities on the Plateau .
Without doubt, the massacre is on a gen0cidal level. Similar k! killings are happening in other parts of Nigeria by the same fulani herdsmen.
Now, this is where I want us to make value judgement and be circumspect with our admittance.
There is a gen0cide going on in some parts of Nigeria but it is not a Christian gen0cide. A Christian gen0cide would mean that Christians are being slaughtered for their faith or are being attacked in worship centers and denying them access to practice their faith. But, this is not the case.
The reason why it seems like it’s a Christian gen0cide is because most of these communities are predominantly indigenous Christians and the k!llers are predominantly Muslims herdsmen .
But the bone of contention here is whether these people are being killed because of their choice of religion. No, they are k! lled because of their land. These herdsmen are land grabbers. Who want to displace the indigenous people from their homes so that they can collect their properties and live on their ancestral lands. They are not causing havoc on the land, taking them hostage and forcing them to convert to Islam. It is not a jihad.
Even the Bokoharam in the Northeast are k!lling both Muslims and Christians. Like their name suggests; they are against western education and will k!ll and destroy any person who supports western civilization. They are all Muslims, that is why it is difficult to separate it from what it is- a fulani oligarchy.
If we allow the western propaganda to tell our stories and label our country a failed state . They will impose different sanctions that will further impede our freedom and the little liberty we are enjoying.
One of the solutions is for the Federal government to join forces with local vigilantes and invade the bushes and rocks where these intruders are hiding. These vigilantes or village hunters can be upgraded and trained as state police to protect the territorial integrity of our people.
If you have a different view that shows that Christians are facing persecution and k!lled because of their faith then it might not have gotten to its gen0cidal level yet. But clearly our people are being slaughtered daily by fulani herdsmen to occupy their lands .
