"IF WE DON'T CONTROL THIS ANGER" - BY EMDEE DAVID

With what happened at the amuwo odofin area of the Oshodi Apapa Expressway between Okada riders and Lagos taskforce,it shows that there is really anger in the land.
But if we dont control that anger we end up hurting ourselves.
Nigerians just love lawlessness. We complained of the menace of okada riders which included accidents, robbery and kidnapping. The government banned them in major roads. But okada riders would want to be left alone unchallenged.
If government can no longer enforce a law in the state then we want to remain backward. Okeafa riders in protest gathered themselves and attacked police, pedestrians, burning things and places, even burnt cars of innocent motorists. How has that helped us? How would that help the cause of the okada riders?
There can't be progress without peace. This riotous society we are clamouring for won't do us any good. We must be able to explore nonviolent means of solving problems.
This also goes for Endsars Protesters who insist on occupying the streets. Yes, we must #endsars, #EndBadGovernance and #EndPoliceBrutality.
Are there no better alternatives where hoodlums would not be able to infiltrate? On the streets, crowds are had to control.
What about digital protests?
It doesn't have to be violent. Martin Luther King comes to mind.
