FLOOD RAVAGES HOUSES, ROADS AND RICE FARMS IN JIGAWA STATE

Heavy rains have caused massive flooding in Hadejia, Jigawa state which reportedly washed away roads and over 100,000 acres of rice farm.
Lives and Livestock were also lost. Mallam Yakubu Usman, speaking to the BBC reported that he lost his three sons to the flood.
The disaster which happened yesterday has rendered millions of people homeless and several huts and houses were submerged. The Governor of Jigawa State visited the emir of Hadejia to discuss the causes and solution of the flood and promised that something would be done to avoid future occurrence.
President Muhammadu Buhari also sent a message to the State to console them for their losses.
