DEADLINE FOR FULANIS TO LEAVE IBARAPA TOWN - BY EMDEE DAVID

Today is Friday, deadline for Fulani people to leave Ibarapa town, Oyo State, as ordered by one Sunday Igboho, citing insecurity of his people in the hands of Fulanis who allegely kidnap, kill their people, while their cattle vandalize their farms.
Two days after issuing this eviction notice, two people were reportedly killed in the community, allegely by some fulanis. This was said to have infuriated the people the more.
Some Ibarapa people have also accused the Fulani people of attempting to dominate their land, claim it as theirs as they have installed a Seriki (a King) among themselves with a palace as "big as their own Oba".
The Presidency had challenged him that his quit notice to Fulani herdsmen is unconstitutional. You know how the Presidency takes Fulani matter seriously. Even the Seriki Fulani's daughter reminded Sunday that a Fulani is the President, and they cannot be quitted from any land.
Sunday and Ibarapa people insist Fulani people are killing kidnapping and killing their farmers and villagers and they won't take it anymore. In a video interview, Igboho said if by today, any fulani man is still found in Ibarapa, it would be war.
The governor of OYO state, Seyi Makinde is with the fulani/Presidency on this matter. He said Sunday Igboho has no right to issue an eviction notice to the herdsmen and that he has assured Fulani people of their safety in Oyo State.
So what's the way forward? We know government security agents are understaffed and overwhelmed. They have not policed the towns well talk more of the forests. The Governor sure knows this, and that the people depend and rely more of the vigilantes and community policing efforts, which brings us to why Sunday Igboho is braving up for a fight?
But is Sunday not fighting a lost battle already? Who is backing him up?
What's the role of Aare Ona Kakanfo on this matter? Would he back the people or the governor?
And what has Amotekun been doing to secure the lives and properties of Ibarapa people?
And what has the fulani leaders done to deal with the criminal elements among them?
Well, let's see what happens today!
